Mechanical Engineering with Tradition and Future

The History of Maschinenbau Bardowick GmbH

Precision is our benchmark, innovation our drive. With over two decades of experience, we develop customized manufacturing solutions for demanding industries.

Our History – From Founding to Today

The history of Maschinenbau Bardowick GmbH began in 1984 in the field of special machinery and plant construction, as well as welding technology.
The development of the first Powdering Machine in 1998 was a technological cornerstone that paved the way for its current market position. In 2002, Mr. Peter Albrecht and Mr. Michail Himmelmann acquired the business shares of the then-named Deckert Maschinenbau GmbH. With their visionary entrepreneurial spirit, they consistently developed the company further, particularly in the area of extrusion follow-up machines, which were supplemented that year by belt pullers and cutting machines.
A significant leap in innovation followed in 2004 with the introduction of a new type of Powdering Machine, which set industry standards through a patented filter cleaning process.
In 2007, a 100% subsidiary, IMW Inżynieria Maszyn Wałcz Sp. z o.o., was established in Wałcz/Poland. This expansion enabled a sustainable increase in production capacities and complemented the company’s highly qualified welding technology – a field of expertise that has since been an integral part of our service portfolio.

Shaping the Future – Generational Change and Expansion

2014 marked the beginning of a new phase in the company’s development: With the entry of Mr. Christoph Eidner, a long-time employee, into the management, the strategic future orientation was secured for the long term.

The increasing demands for quality and flexibility led to the decision in 2015 to build a modern production facility in the “Wittorfer Heide” industrial park in Bardowick. Since 2017, this location has been the new home of Maschinenbau Bardowick GmbH.

In 2019, the independent direct sales of the optimized extrusion follow-up machines began – including the MB Coater Powdering Machine, as well as belt pullers and cutting machines under the name MB Cutter – marking another milestone on the path to greater independence and customer focus.

With Mr. Peter Albrecht’s retirement at the beginning of 2020, Mr. Christoph Eidner officially took over the management and has since continued the success story together with Mr. Michail Himmelmann.

In 2022, Sebastian Schulz became part of the company, securing the company’s succession.

In 2025, he joined the management board. In the same year, a new machine type of the MB Coater Powdering Machine was also introduced, which once again set new technological standards in precision and efficiency.
